CDM Legislation – Achieve Compliance with Salus Services
The CDM Regulations place a great deal of responsibility on duty holders within the construction industry. Duty holders – which can include clients, designers and contractors – may not have sufficient skills, knowledge and experience or indeed sufficient manpower to effectively discharge the duties placed upon them by these regulations within their business.
Our CDM 2015 Decision Tree (download here) takes you through CDM 2015 wherever you are within the CDM process on your project. At every stage we’ve got you covered and can guide you and your project to completion knowing you are CDM Compliant at all times.
By appointing an independent, third-party organisation to undertake or assist you with discharging your duties, you can rest assured that you are meeting the requirements of the relevant legislation and on time.

CDM Advisor Services
Salus will Support you to Discharge All Duties under The CDM Regulations 2015
How can Salus help?
CDM Advisor Services
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) launched its revised CDM Regulations in April 2015 when the CDM Coordinator (CDM-C) role was replaced by a Principal Designer. The new regulations have made significant changes to the requirement for the appointment of a Principal Contractor and other duty holders.
At Salus we understand that Clients and Designers will need a support mechanism in place to meet their obligations when the changes are enforced. This is why Salus is creating a role where it will act as an appointed CDM Advisor (CDMA), to help the Client and/or Principal Designer discharge their duties under the new regulations.
What is the role of a CDM Advisor?
Salus’ role as CDM Advisor will be to ensure that the Client, the Principal Designer, alongside the contractors and other suppliers, give due consideration to the health and safety of those who build the structure and those who will maintain and use the structure once complete.
Salus will undertake a general responsibility to ensure the Client’s and Principal Designer’s duties under CDM 2015 are complied with. General duties include monitoring compliance, consultants and contractors with CDM 2015, providing construction health and safety risk management advice and ensuring that when a Principal Designer (PD) is not appointed and the Client is deemed to be carrying out the duties, that all reasonable steps are being taken by the Project Team to fulfil these duties.
Salus CDM Advisor package
Appointing a CDM Advisor will save you time and allow you as a Client or Designer to focus on your primary role, leaving Salus to ensure that you become and remain compliant under the CDM Regulations. Our aim will be to get more Health and Safety pre-planning into your projects.
The package that we have developed will cover everything required to make sure that you comply with CDM 2015 legislation and protect your professional reputation.
