The Salus Story

The company was founded by Wayne Jones in June 2006 to provide cost effective professional health and safety advice to SME’s and small contractors who would otherwise not have access to an expert in health and safety.

Our extensive experience in the field of health, safety and environmental management means we’ve seen the problems you face as a busy business owner.

What’s In A Name?

The company’s name was initially meant to derive from the Welsh language, however there were no business cards big enough back then to put a welsh translated health and safety word on them!

The founder then hit upon a name derived from the Latin word for “safety”, “health” and “well-being” – salus

Salus was a Roman goddess. She was the goddess of safety and well-being (welfare, health and prosperity) of both the individual and the state and was one of the most ancient Roman Goddesses.

The Modern Day

These days, Salus has grown to be a network-based health, safety, environmental and management consultancy based in Wrexham, North Wales and supports numerous clients across the UK & Ireland in a variety of industries and locations.
